Boy! This can be a tough gig, this running your own business stuff, ammaright??
Yes, OK, there are definitely upsides - being your own boss, having the freedom to choose what you do and how you do it, knowing that extra work puts money in your pocket and not someone else’s, taking time off for your family / kids / health / cos you fancy a Doona Day, without having to worry about if you have enough of your ‘allowance’ left or feeling guilty.
And, of course, the pride in knowing that you’ve built something unique from scratch. That’s pretty cool…
But it’s not all champagne networking and having minions feed you grapes. To really make a successful business, we often have to dig deep in the tough times, find the solution and learn how to do All The Things.
You’re not alone, and you don’t have to do this all by yourself.
I’ve been running my own businesses and helping thousands of other new and small businesses to be successful since 2005.
Here’s how it works
One thing you should know about me, I’m a little bit on the spectrum, which means that I’m not a fan of clicky-pens, loud noises or gum chewers.
But my superpower is that I’m AMAZING at quiz nights! My brain is constantly sucking in new information, dissecting it and then working out the best fit. You wouldn’t believe some of the random trivia I can dig out of nowhere.
So why is this relevant for you?
Well, it means that I’m great at analysing a business and then searching in the vaults to find what’s going to work really well for each individual business. Seriously, it’s bordering on genius (2 IQ points off Einstein, last time I was tested by Mensa!).
I’ve seen a LOT of trends, fads and results over the years. I’m not going to be able to make you a TikTok star or an overnight YouTube sensation, but if you’re looking for solid advice driven from research and years of real-life experience, then you’re in the right place.
Easy-to-swallow (and follow) info
I know that there’s a lot of ‘they’ out there who like to bamboozle you with information overload and allllllll of the things that you should be doing. But where does that leave you? Overwhelmed, stressed, and a good few $$$ lighter I’m guessing.
I do the opposite. I make sure that I’m independent and neutral when it comes to giving advice, and am committed to making as big a difference as I can to each of the businesses that I work with.
This means:
Finding easy wins that can be implemented quickly and easily
Putting together a simple plan that you can use as a blueprint for success, and follow every day, not just ‘when I find the time’
I’m on your side. My greatest joy in life is seeing the light bulb go on, and seeing the difference that I can make to people’s business success, and lives
Connecting you with other people, organisations and programs that I trust and think will be a good fit for you
